After a final visit to Austin’s Dry Creek Café, Miastkowski spent three years traveling more than 25,000 miles across Texas, visiting hundreds of dive bars from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast. The result is part travelogue and part cultural record of jukebox-lit saloons, beer joints and backroad honky-tonks.
